RE: Statement of Work – Special Order POS Unification High Level Design
Dear Anita:
MorelandConnect LLC (“Moreland”) is pleased to provide this Statement of Work (“SOW”) confirming our consulting services (the "Services") to assist Signet Group Services US Inc. (“Signet”)
This SOW is issued pursuant to and governed by the Master Services Agreement (“MSA”) dated June 10, 2024, by and between Signet and Moreland. Capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meanings set forth in the MSA.
1. Project Overview
Signet operates two special order POS workflows and supporting applications: Dallas (ZPB) and Akron (KJO). These systems differ materially in SKU strategy, vendor catalog support, automation/knowledge-base behavior, order recovery, and audit trail capabilities. Signet desires to harmonize these into a single modernized special order experience (“Harmonized Solution”) that preserves the strongest capabilities of each system while addressing documented gaps and failure modes.
This SOW covers the High Level Design phase only.
2. Objectives
Create user stores and achieve alignment with stakeholders on scope for an initial release (MVP) of the Harmonized Solution.
Complete technical assessment and integration analysis across POS, IMS, RMS, dashboards/queues, knowledge-base behaviors, and vendor interfaces.
Produce target-state architecture and application design, including hosting/deployment strategy and build-stage planning.
Present architecture for review (ARB) and incorporate feedback; finalize project plan for the Build phase.
3. Scope of Work
Phase 1 – Process Mapping & Story Finalization
Define and validate MVP scope; create, align and finalize user stories and acceptance criteria for initial release.
Document harmonization decisions and tradeoffs (e.g., reusable vs single-use SKU rules, catalog vendor support, knowledge-base behaviors, payment/override rules, recovery/notifications, replacement workflows).
Phase 2 – Technical Assessment

Special Order Build Phase — Project Management Structure
Harmonized Special Order Solution (Akron + Dallas)
Overview
MorelandConnect will assign two dedicated Project Managers to the Special Order Build Phase, each with a distinct focus area. This structure ensures both strong client governance and hands-on technical delivery leadership across the 9,557-hour effort, which spans low-level design, core platform development of all 11 product epics (E1–E11), external system integrations (XStore, RMS, SSP/PID), and a phased pilot-to-full production cutover.
The combined project management investment of 1,247 hours (approximately 13% of total project effort) is allocated across the Business PM and Technical PM to reflect the development-intensive nature of this engagement, the breadth of Signet stakeholder coordination required (Mach 10/XStore, Oracle DBA, SSP/PID, Infosec, store associates, task team, CS associates), and the parallel execution model of the 7-FTE delivery team.
Business Project Manager
The Business PM serves as Signet's primary point of contact and owns the overall health of the engagement. This role is focused on planning, governance, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring Moreland delivers on its commitments throughout the Build phase.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-end project governance, master schedule, and phase plan management across Phases 0–3
Weekly status reporting and stakeholder communications aligned to the time-and-materials invoicing cadence
Milestone completion tracking across low-level design, build, testing, and launch deliverables
Client relationship management and Signet dependency coordination (Mach 10/XStore, Oracle DBA, SSP/PID, Infosec)
Driving resolution of HLD open items and TBD decisions during Phase 0
Risk, issue, and escalation management (RAID log)
UAT coordination and sign-off facilitation with store associates, task team members, and CS associates within the 30-day UAT window
Change order identification, scoping, and impact as
