Re: Oatey Master Data Quality Monitoring — Proof of Concept (Build Phase)
Dear John:
MorelandConnect LLC (“Moreland”) is pleased to provide this proposal for our consulting services (the “Services”) to assist Oatey Co. at 20600 Emerald Parkway | Cleveland, OH 44135 (“Oatey”).
Statement of Work (POC Build Phase) – Master Data Quality Monitoring
Project: Master Data Quality Monitoring (POC #3) — Single Master Data Domain (Customer or Material)
Reference Agreement: This SOW is issued as an Appendix to and is subject to the terms of the parties’ existing Consulting Services Agreement / Master Services Agreement (“Agreement”) that was entered into as of 11/13/2025.
1) Project Overview
Moreland will build a Master Data Quality Monitoring proof of concept (“POC”) on Oatey’s committed Microsoft Fabric platform. The POC delivers the four explicit asks raised by Oatey’s data governance team: proactive outlier detection, a narrative summary of what moved and why, fix recommendations, and a daily cadence.
The solution ports Justin’s existing Power Query rule tables into Fabric User Data Functions (UDFs), adds statistical and bounded-LLM detection on top, and serves everything through existing Power BI environment via Direct Lake — there is no new web application for the team to learn. The POC is scoped to a single master data domain — either Customer or Material master, confirmed at kickoff. SAP remains the system of record: all access is read-only and there is no write-back during the POC.
2) Objectives
Proactive outlier detection (ask #1): statistical detection of distribution shifts, outliers, drift, and completeness changes for a single data domain.
Narrative summary (ask #2): a weekly digest, that explains what moved and why — aggregated by domain and severity — rather than a bare list of anomalies.
Fix recommendations (ask #3): bounded LLM enrichment on already-flagged records that catches logical inconsistenci
