A companion mobile experience will differentiate the product, simplify operation, and capture valuable usage data. MorelandConnect proposes an engagement to design, build, and launch a production-ready React-based mobile application with secure cloud back-end and Wi-Fi IoT connectivity to the kiln controller.
The solution emphasises speed to market so units can begin shipping by September/October while remaining extensible for future feature releases.
2. Project Understanding
Primary users: Outdoor-living enthusiasts, pizza-oven owners, premium fire-pit users, and households heating with wood.
Core functions:
Select wood type (e.g., maple, oak, mixed), split vs. round, and quantity
Choose target hydration (Not in Figma design)
Start/stop drying session; display temp, elapsed & remaining time
Real-time status alerts when batch is complete
Session log with historical graphs show elapsed drying time
